NEWSLETTER DESIGN
London International Exhibition Centre (ExCeL) is the UK’s leading events and exhibitions venue and home to London’s International Convention Centre, which hosts over 300 events a year. We were tasked to design a suite of newsletter templates, which ExCeL could use to communicate important information to its different audiences, covering B2B, B2C and e-commerce for exhibitors.
Starting with research, we assessed the current user flows, performance insights, and gathered feedback from the marketing team on the desired actions from audiences. We combined these findings with our research into competitor newsletters and developed a set of wireframes that clearly visualised the user journeys. For design, we utilised ExCeL’s bright and varied colour palette to give each newsletter a distinctive look and refreshed outdated elements like icons and CTA buttons. It was also essential that the designs met ExCeL’s accessibility standards outlined in its guidelines.
